Original Single-Volume Edition
This is the original 400-page single-volume collection. The newer two-volume editions reorganize its existing projects by purpose: Volume 1 focuses on journaling and reading, while Volume 2 focuses on everyday creative life and adds the Solid Granny Hexagon Cardigan and Remembering pull-on Granny Skirt. Those two full garment patterns are not included in this original edition.
If you already own this edition, the two-volume editions reuse and reorganize its project content; they are not a completely new set of patterns.
Make It Yours
Crochet for Journaling and Everyday Creative Life
By Walayee C. Ishway | Slayed Beyond Beautiful
A handmade place for the things you reach for every day.
Make a journal cuff, give your pens a home, add a useful pocket or bring a handmade detail to a familiar object. This illustrated crochet collection gathers 48 named makes and adaptations into six themed chapters, with room to build your skills one project at a time.
The 400-page digital book includes full project instructions, textured step-by-step construction illustrations, diagrams, materials and fit guidance, a practical foundations section, an abbreviation guide and a project-record page. Clickable contents and PDF bookmarks help you return to your current make.
The six chapters
- Small beginnings
- A place for your pages
- Keep your tools close
- Reading and quiet rituals
- Everyday objects made personal
- Wear and express
Skill range
For beginners learning the basics through confident makers. Start with simple rows and small finishes, then work toward shaped pieces, post stitches, sewing, zipper work and freeform motifs. Some projects assume those skills; the entire collection is not intended as a set of absolute-beginner patterns. Instructions use US crochet terms.
