Skill level: confident beginner. The standard cuff is about 10¼ inches around and 3¼–3½ inches high. It is intended for a clean, straight-sided glass jar about 10–10½ inches around and at least 4 inches tall. You will need approximately 55–70 yards of medium-weight cotton for the body, 25–35 yards for the flowers, a 4 mm hook, and basic crochet tools. Measure your actual jar before making.

Important: decorative use on a completely cool, unlit or empty jar only. Remove the cuff before lighting a candle, using a warmer, reheating wax, or exposing the vessel to any heat, and leave it off until the glass and wax are fully cool. Never burn a candle with the crochet cuff on the jar.
